As a trained Couples Counselor, I am here to tell you that your relationship can transform for the better, so you can enjoy being with one another again.

Couples Therapy Can Help

Therapy will provide a road map to help you find your way back to feeling close and secure when a disagreement occurs.

In therapy, we will slow everything down to explore the emotions driving your anger, defensiveness, or withdrawal reactions.

In a safe and compassionate environment, we will:

  • Explore and identify the negative cycles in your relationship that hinder your ability to stay connected in times of distress.

  • Work to change the negative patterns into more positive patterns.

  • Practice expressing your needs and longings so your partner can hear them and respond with love and understanding, cultivating a secure bond.

As your guide, I can help you to create a truly solid connection, so you can overcome any negative habits and feel at ease with one another, safe with each other.

The results can be incredible.

You can gain the confidence you need to repair your relationship when you argue, fostering a secure connection to help your marriage last a lifetime.

  • Your relationship can evolve into a refuge of safety.

  • You can experience deep connection, comfort, and understanding.

  • You can wake up and look forward to spending time with one another, knowing you can handle any obstacle that may come your way.

  • You can have the relationship you’ve been looking for.

Rates & FAQ

  • Individuals $150 per 50-minute session,

    Couples $150 per 50-minute session

  • I am considered an "Out-Of-Network" provider, which means I do not accept any insurance directly.

If you would like to use your insurance, then I am able to provide you with a monthly receipt called a "Superbill" and you can submit this to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance provider directly and checking with them to confirm if you have "Out-of-network" benefits.

Otherwise, you can choose to see me privately and not involve your insurance at all. See why many of my clients choose this option below.

  • Many of my clients actually prefer to work with me privately and not involve their insurance at all. This is because in order to use your insurance for counseling, a mental health diagnosis is required, and this gets attached to your record and in some cases can stay on your health record permanently. Insurance can also put limitations on the number of counseling sessions you can have, which can hinder you from completing your therapeutic process.

There can be a lack of confidentiality as the insurance company can require the therapist to disclose information about treatment that would otherwise be considered protected information. Insurance information does not have the same legal protections of confidentiality as the relationship with the therapist. Once this information is in your medical record it can be requested by third parties for various reasons.

  • In the first session, I will help you and your partner feel comfortable while getting to know you better. We explore your unique relational issues and concerns, how each of you is currently experiencing the relationship, and your goals for therapy. If you have seen a previous couple's therapist, I want to hear about your experience to give me insight into what you found beneficial and what was not helpful in those encounters. I will happily answer any questions you may have at that time. Also, by the end of the first session, I hope you have a sense of me and how I work.

After the initial session, I will meet with each partner individually to focus on your attachment history while continuing to get acquainted. Attachment history is gathered by asking several questions that will help us efficiently understand the coping patterns you formed earlier in life that you currently utilize in your relationship when there's a threat to your connection. After the individual sessions are complete, we will meet all together for the remainder of your couple's therapy.

  • It's not uncommon for one partner to hesitate or resist the idea of attending couples counseling. If this describes your situation, then absolutely come alone. You can still experience growth and relief by working on your part of the marital negative patterns while making significant changes within yourself.
